of optical toys. Demonstration of direct animation
techniques using a camera with cut papers:
shooting, “image by image” with
a computer. Explanation of a story board,
and what a shot refers to. Dinner and night
at the centre.
D2 The pupils try to animate objects
with the camera: shooting, animation, picture
monitoring, timing, making of elements for
the film using the torn up paper principle.
Work on the story board. Dinner and night
at the centre.
D3 Shooting of the film with cut-up
papers. Cartoon preparation: individual production
of a part of the animation “chaining”.
Dinner and night at the centre.
D4 Continuation of the shooting with
the cut-up papers and of the cartoon (shooting
of each drawing by each « producer »).
Addition of sound to the pictures. Pre-cutting
of the film, finding a title and preparing
the credit titles. Dinner and night at the
centre.
D5 Watching and reviiewing of the
film. Making of the copies. Lunch at the centre
and departure at the end of the day.
