Writing workshops... French, English – Preparing to the 6 ème

The writing workshop is aimed at CM2 pupils. They use both languages, French and English, to write a story.
Going from French to English, and vice-versa helps them realise that each language is not an exact copy of the other one.
Comparing and observing simple facts in the two languages creates, for the pupils, a distance that allows them to open their minds to grammatical realities, and reinforces their use of their language.
